Cub Scout Pack 45 is an organization of boys from Chelmsford, MA, in first through fifth grade. We have an average of 45-50 cub scouts. Many are from Center and Harrington schools, but we also have scouts from other elementary schools in Chelmsford and Lowell.
Our Pack meetings are held at the Central Congregational Church at 9 Worthen Street (off North Road) one Friday evening each month. The Pack meeting is for all the scouts and their parents. A Pack meeting is a great time to visit and learn more about Cub Scouts.
In addition to the monthly Pack meeting, each boy attends a Den meeting with about 5-8 other scouts in the same grade. The Den usually meets twice a month at a time and place that works for the Den Leader and other members of the Den. During the 1st grade (Tiger Cub), a parent or other adult partner attends the Den meetings with the scout.
The dues for Pack 45 are $45 per year. This covers membership in the Boy Scouts of America, a subscription to Boys' Life magazine, a Pack Tshirt, and other supplies and activities for the Pack. Every year, we hold a Pinewood Derby and a Blue & Gold Banquet. We'll often have a monthly Pack event like a hike, rollerskating, or an overnight at a museum, and these events are pay-as-you-go.
